Finding Us

By Public Transport

We are located a short walk from Manchester Piccadilly station. Take the Metrolink tram towards Deansgate-Castlefield and alight at St Peter's Square. From there, it is a five-minute walk north along Deansgate Avenue.

Several bus routes stop within two minutes of our location, including the 33, 41, and 142.

By Car

Street parking is limited in the city centre. We recommend using the NCP car park on Hardman Street, which is a seven-minute walk from our space. Alternatively, the Great Northern car park on Watson Street offers reasonable rates.

Accessibility

Our space is on the ground floor with level access from the street. We have accessible facilities and can accommodate most mobility needs. If you have specific requirements, please mention them when booking a consultation so we can prepare appropriately.

Our Space

Our Manchester location serves as both workspace and gathering place. While we are not a traditional bookshop with browsing stock, visitors are welcome during working hours for consultations, collection pickups, or simply to discuss books.

The space includes a small library of reference titles, comfortable seating for consultations, and room for intimate events. We host most of our larger gatherings at nearby venues better suited to group discussions.

If you are in Manchester and interested in what we do, feel free to drop by during working hours. While we appreciate appointments for consultations, casual visits are always welcome.

Common Questions

Tell us which service interests you and what you hope to achieve. For consultations, brief information about your reading preferences helps us prepare. For rare book sourcing, include as many details as possible about what you seek. The more context you provide, the better we can assist you.

Yes, though we recommend emailing ahead to ensure someone is available to speak with you. Our team often works off-site researching books or meeting with publishers, so advance notice helps guarantee we can give you proper attention.

We maintain a small selection of titles available for immediate purchase, primarily books we frequently recommend. For specific requests, we source titles through our network of suppliers. Most purchases are arranged via email and either shipped or available for collection.

We aim to respond within two business days. Complex requests, particularly rare book sourcing, may require additional research time before we can provide a substantive response. We will always acknowledge your enquiry quickly, even if detailed information takes longer.

For most services, we focus on UK-based readers due to shipping complexity and cost. However, we can arrange international shipping for rare book purchases. Contact us to discuss specific requirements and associated costs.

Yes, most consultations happen via video call, which allows us to serve readers throughout the UK. In-person consultations are available for those in Manchester or willing to travel. Both formats are equally effective for understanding your reading preferences.
